Job Description:

Design and develop data systems and reporting tools to ensure that team members have the product, support, and operations data they need to make crucial business decisions. Design data solutions and solve challenging problems using Zipcar’s large-scale production data infrastructure. Design, develop, and support data pipelines, warehouses, and reporting systems to support business data analysis. Create extract, transform and load (ETL) processes for new data using large-scale distributed data systems. Position is fixed based in Boston, MA office; However, telecommuting from a home office location is allowed.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology and Analytics, or a directly related field plus three (3) years of experience as a data engineer or related occupation.

Must have at least three (3) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

• Experience with SQL and Python
• Experience with data warehouse technologies, including Amazon Redshift
• Experience with agile processes

Must have at least six (6) months of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

• Experience with Java or Scala
• Experience with AWS Technologies, including Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, and AWS Glue
• Experience with Apache Airflow

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm.
