Title: QA Engineer III

Position Description: Collaborate with development and product owners to drive continuous improvement of the Zipcar member experience. Continually add Business Value to Agile Teams through Proactive Participation. Design and execute exploratory testing suits. Work with Test Automation engineers to automate exploratory findings. Develop and maintain functional regression tests. Pair with team members to identify and mitigate software risk through exploratory testing and other techniques. Lead improvement initiatives to process, testing, and tools. Own improvement initiatives identified in team retrospectives. Analyze production defects and drive effective corrective actions.

Required Experience/Skills: Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a directly related field plus three (3) years of quality engineering experience as a Software Engineer or in a related occupation.

Must have three (3) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

• Experience with SDLC and Agile practices
• Experience using test management and project management tools, including TestRail or Jira
• Experience testing Web Applications in a hosted environment or On Prem environment
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment, including collaborating with developers and product owners
• Experience testing front end web technologies, including HTML, CSS, or JavaScript

Must have two (2) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

• Experience developing automated functional tests using Selenium or similar tools
• Experience with Object Oriented programming languages, including Java, Python, or Ruby
• Experience creating SQL queries and using relational database technologies

Telecommuting: Position is fixed based in Boston, MA office; However, telecommuting from a home office location up to three (3) days per week is allowed
