Job Summary:

As VP of Quality and CI at Voyager, you will lead the development and execution of the quality management system within the company, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across all functions. You will optimize internal processes, lead root cause analysis for nonconformances, and implement corrective actions to ensure product quality and compliance. Reporting directly to the segment COO, you will set the strategic direction for advancing quality practices and fostering a culture of zero defects and continuous improvement throughout the organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape quality standards in a high-growth, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead enterprise-wide quality, compliance, and control efforts across aerospace and other highly regulated manufacturing environments
  • Maintain and enhance Quality Management Systems (QMS) to meet AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA, and customer-specific requirements
  • Lead successful certification and surveillance efforts for AS9100, ISO 9001, and other industry or customer audits
  • Oversee quality across departmental functions, including receiving, in-process, final inspection, supplier quality, and returns/warranty
  • Serve as the primary contact for customers, regulators, and certification bodies on all quality-related matters
  • Champion a zero-defect culture through Lean, Six Sigma, APQP, and structured problem-solving practices
  • Manage MRB, nonconformance, and CAPA processes to ensure timely resolution, traceability, and preventive action.
  • Establish and Standardise a robust RCCA process across all functions.
  • Establish and track key quality metrics across departments and locations to drive data-based improvements
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to align quality goals with production and delivery targets
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste, improve throughput, and increase customer satisfaction
  • Build and foster continuity of a broad quality team across multiple sites, functions, and regions
  • Develop and execute training, coaching, and succession planning programs to strengthen team capability
  • Lead internal, customer, regulatory, and third-party audit readiness efforts across all sites, ensuring systems, documentation, and practices are consistently audit-ready
  • Report on risk, performance and quality metrics to management and facilitate cross functional collaboration for quality initiatives
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the organization

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related technical field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 15+ years of leadership experience in quality management within aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing industries
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale quality organizations with both Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) responsibilities
  • Deep expertise in AS9100, FAA, DoD, and other applicable regulatory and quality standards
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, special processes, and supplier quality management
  • Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement initiatives that reduce defects, enhance efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction
  • Proficient in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies a plus
  • Skilled in fostering a culture of operational excellence across cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams
  • Strong communicator with the ability to lead, influence, and engage at all levels of the organization
  • Experienced in implementing and managing Quality Management Systems (QMS) in compliance with industry regulations
  • Proficient in root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and quality performance metrics
  • Security Clearance preferred (or ability to obtain)
  • Travel required: Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to various domestic sites, some international travel may also be required
