Software Engineer to support the design and development of experimental payload hardware and innovative technology to be flown in space to the International Space Station (ISS) aboard a number of orbital launchers.
  • Entwicklung/Produktion der Flugbetriebssoftware für Experimentalcontainer (ScienceShells), die mit dem ScienceTaxi zur ISS und zu Orbitalraketen geflogen werden sollen.
  • Entwicklung von Testsoftware für die Experimentalcontainer.
  • Durchführung von Softwaretests/Verifizierung der Funktionalität der Experimentalcontainer auf Systemebene.
  • Entwicklung der Software für eine Reihe von anderen experimentellen Nutzlasten.
  • Unterstützung des Management- und Ingenieurteams bei zukünftigen Vorschlägen
  • You have a degree or an equivalent degree in the one of the following: Software Engineering, Computer and Electronic Systems Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or similar.
  • You have at least 2+ years experience
  • You convince with your strong Python and C++ programming skills.
  • You are skilled in testing and validating complex software systems.
  • Your experience in designing software architecture and graphical user interfaces stands out.
  • You have basic Electronics knowledge.
  • You have knowledge about communication protocols.
  • You have experience in programming microcontrollers.
Nice to have:
  • Experience with camera sensors (MIPI/SPI/USB interface)
  • Experience with CAN and CANopen.
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Experience developing Raspberry Pi/Microcontroller applications.

  • You directly or indirectly work on projects that are launched to the International Space Station and other space platforms
