Summary
The GTM Strategy & Operations group is a critical partner to Yelp's Multi-Location Go-To-Market (GTM) team. We blend high-level strategy with hands-on operational execution, using data-backed insights to define market goals. Our core mission is to build the fundamental infrastructure and scalable processes that ensure the GTM teams achieve peak performance and measurable business growth.
This is more than an analyst role—it's a strategic partnership where you will directly influence the growth trajectory of a large-scale business. You will be the architect of scalable processes, the primary interpreter of business performance, and the driver of high-impact operational change. Your foundational work will build the core structure on which the entire Multi-Location GTM organization operates and scales.
We’d love to have you apply, even if you don’t feel you meet every single requirement in this posting. At Yelp, we’re looking for great people, not just those who simply check off all the boxes. This is a full-time remote role based in the United States.
What you'll do:
- Serve as the go-to expert for analytical support, leveraging your strong Excel skills and advanced SQL knowledge to solve complex business problems and manage ad hoc strategic projects (data extraction, aggregation, manipulation, and modeling)
- Lead the full Business Intelligence cycle, developing analytical solutions that transform complex data (via SQL) into clear, executive-ready Tableau visualizations. These insights will both drive tactical execution and establish the analytical foundation for broad GTM strategy
- Architect and continuously refine the end-to-end sales funnel and operational metric tracking, delivering continuous, proactive insights to maximize organizational efficiency
- Serve as the primary data liaison and team leader in data stewardship between the GTM Strategy & Operations team and the data warehouse
What it takes to succeed:
- BA/BS or graduate degree, ideally in a quantitative field (mathematics, statistics, economics etc.)
- 4+ years of proven experience in Sales/Business operations, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and/or Strategy consulting, ideally in a high-growth environment. You have a track record of driving significant, measurable business outcomes.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL (Postgres preferred) and strong Excel background. A genuine curiosity about data and the ability to extract and synthesize complex insights from massive datasets
- Mastery of Tableau for compelling data visualizations, including dashboard creation, data blending, and Level of Detail (LOD) operations
- Demonstrated success in taking ambiguous business challenges, utilizing data to identify the root cause, and translating findings into clear, persuasive, and actionable strategies
- Proactive, growth-oriented mindset with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and consistently identify opportunities for process and strategy improvement
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate seamlessly with stakeholders at all organizational levels
What you'll get:
- Effective your first day: Full medical, vision, and dental
- 15 days PTO (accrual begins on date of hire and increases with 2+ years of tenure thereafter), 12 paid holidays, plus one floating holiday
- Up to 14 weeks of parental leave
- Monthly wellness subsidy
- Work from home reimbursement
- Flexible spending account
- 401(k) retirement savings plan
- Employee stock purchase plan
- Compensation range for this position is $105,000 - $130,000 annually. You may also be offered a bonus and benefits.
