About X-Bow Systems: X-Bow Systems is a cutting-edge aerospace technology company revolutionizing the defense, government, and space industries. We are expanding our Supply Chain team and seeking a skilled Transportation Coordinator to support our evolving transportation network by dispatching and monitoring the safe, compliant movement of energetic materials, components and finished products across X-Bow locations and customer sites. The Transportation Coordinator will be the primary touch point for daily shipment and distribution movements and will report to the Transportation Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
Shipment Coordination and Dispatch Operations:
- Coordinate, dispatch and track all inbound/outbound shipments at primary X-Bow locations.
- Prepare shipping documentation (bills of lading, chain of custody forms, etc.).
- Maintain shipment visibility using Enterprise Resource Planning systems and Electronic Logging Device data and routing/optimization software.
- Communicate with drivers, carriers and internal teams to ensure accurate routing and on-time shipment deliveries contributing to carrier performance.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all shipments comply with DOT 49 CFR, FMCSA, ATF and internal X-Bow safety protocols.
- Verify proper packaging, labeling, placarding and segregation of hazardous material (HAZMAT) shipments.
- Perform record maintenance and support audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
- Maintain accurate records for regulatory retention requirements.
Carrier and Vendor Support:
- Communicate daily with carriers to confirm schedules, equipment requirements and routing.
- Validate carrier credentials (insurance, HAZMAT authority, security clearances, safety, etc.).
- Use Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and routing tools to evaluate routing efficiency.
- Escalate service failures, delays, or safety concerns to the Transportation Manager.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of three years of transportation, logistics or dispatch experience.
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations and hazardous material handling requirements.
- Strong documentation practices, communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, regulated environment.
- Associate degree in logistics, supply chain management or a related field preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and ERP platforms for load reporting and transportation schedule management.
- Experience shipping explosives, energetics and aerospace technology-based equipment.
- Collaborate to develop and implement contingency plans for transportation disruptions
- Utilize TMS and other logistics-centric software for shipment planning and conveyance.
Continuous Improvement and Problem-Solving:
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements in transportation operations.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation efficiency
- Coordinate with other departments to address and resolve transportation issues.
