Position Overview: X-Bow Systems is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Systems Engineering Intern – MBSE Support to assist with various motor programs. This internship offers hands-on experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), requirements management, verification planning, and general systems engineering tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in systems engineering, documentation, and supporting program reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
General Systems Engineering Tasks:
- Support systems engineering efforts across various motor programs.
- Assist in the development and refinement of system designs and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with program objectives.
Documentation and Review Preparation:
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system requirements, verification plans, and design reviews.
- Assist in preparing materials for program reviews, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Organize and update documentation to ensure compliance with program standards.
Requirements and Verification Management:
- Support the development, tracking, and management of system requirements.
- Assist in planning and executing verification activities to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify gaps and ensure robust verification processes.
MBSE Support:
- Assist in implementing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies for motor programs.
- Work with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw) to develop and manage system models.
- Ensure system models align with program requirements and objectives.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Skills:
- Familiarity with MBSE methodologies and tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw).
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with requirements management and verification planning.
- Knowledge of systems engineering processes and methodologies.
- Familiarity with UML/SysML modeling languages.
- Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, Java) for model automation or scripting.
