About the Role: As a Solidworks Mechanical Designer, you will have a key role in supporting the design, component specification, and integration of facilities required for 21st century energetic material and Solid Rocket Motor manufacturing.

You'll know you're successful in this role when you've streamlined the process of concepts. preliminary design, detailed design and drawing release within the PDM and established a workflow that syncs design backlog with schedule driven design completion.

You will serve as the responsible designer ensuring continuity in drawings, models, GD&T, revision control and change requests. To thrive in this role, have at least 5 years industry experience working within SolidWorks mechanical design and an aptitude for methods of fabrication and off-the-shelf solutions for fluid/thermal/electrical systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Design mechanical/structural/fluidic elements required in chemical processing facilities

- Design custom tooling and fixtures to support operations in compliance with industry practice

- Experience scoping pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, ovens, precision flow meters, etc.

- 5+ years experience with Solidworks CAD and PDM is required

- Demonstrated mastery of large assemblies, 3D models, GD&T, drawings for manufacture

- Experience working within interdisciplinary teams of less than 10 people

- Comfortable splitting time between office and production environments

- Enthusiastic to fill needs outside of your immediate job scope
