Windward is a maritime AI specialist that serves multiple organisations within the maritime ecosystem. Our Supply Chain vertical serves Logistics Service Providers and BCOs across a number of use cases, delivering automation and insights across entire workflows.
We seek an experienced Solution Expert Manager (SEM) to join our commercial team based in either London or Frankfurt. In this role, you will work alongside our sales directors to build new business relationships and achieve targeted revenue objectives across Europe.

Responsibilities:
- The SEM’s main responsibility is to drive the technical aspects of the sales process to transform each prospect into a customer.
- Be a subject matter expert for Windward’s commercial solutions and offerings.
- Understand the prospect’s business unmet needs and address them with compelling solutions to win their business.
- Present our cutting-edge AI solutions to prospects and serve as an expert lead in the sales cycle.
- Be the key point of contact for prospective clients during the entire sales process;
- Craft and refine sales pitches, lead demo meetings and presentations, conduct trials, and write technical reports and dedicated professional materials to convert prospects.
- Understanding the prospect's business, needs, and system infrastructure can help you create effective proposals and answers to RFPs/RFIs.
- Communicate insights to various stakeholders to improve the customer experience within the company, including marketing, customer success, product, and R&D.
- Understand the industry ecosystem and competitive landscape, and be able to address it with WW value proposition and differentiators (technical and operational).
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Tech company offering SaaS or SaS products. Experience with Generative AI solutions is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of operational experience in freight forwarding or supply chain management, especially in containerised ocean freight.
- Able to understand and identify opportunities within our customers’ workflows and deliver creative solutions.
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to effectively craft compelling sales narratives.
- Understanding of buying processes and how decisions are made within enterprise organisations
- Willingness to travel as needed - up to 7 days per month.
- Personal experience with Generative AI solutions, i.e., ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, quick learner, curious, and open-minded
