  • Full-time

Description

At Windward, we are pioneering the maritime AI category. We fuse advanced machine learning, big data, and deep domain expertise to help governments and organizations make sense of complex maritime activity. Our platform turns massive volumes of global trade and maritime data into actionable intelligence, supporting national security, compliance, and operational decision-making worldwide.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where data solves real-world, high-stakes problems, you’ll fit right in!

The Role

We are looking for a Product Manager – Risk Intelligence to join our global Maritime Intelligence team and lead the evolution of Windward’s cargo and container risk capabilities. Based right in the heart of the Washington, D.C. ecosystem, you will bridge the gap between our cutting-edge AI tech stack in Tel Aviv and the unique needs of our global customers and federal stakeholders.

This role combines strong product management fundamentals with deep customer empathy and sharp analytical thinking. You will work closely with customers, Customer Success teams, maritime analysts, and engineering to shape scalable solutions that identify operational risks across global trade and container flows.

What You’ll Do?

  • Own the Value Stream: Lead the execution of a defined product area from early-stage discovery through delivery, launch, and customer adoption.
  • Drive Customer Discovery: Engage directly with global customers, federal agencies, and prospects to run discovery, validate ideas, and turn raw feedback into a refined roadmap.
  • Bridge Tech & Mission: Translate complex customer workflows, market trends, and operational pain points into clear, actionable product requirements and user stories.
  • Execute Cross-Functionally: Work hand-in-hand with engineering teams through design and development, while partnering with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to support GTM enablement.
  • Prioritize for Impact: Ruthlessly prioritize features and initiatives based on customer value, business impact, and technical feasibility.

What You Bring?

  • 3–6 years of Product Management experience in B2B SaaS, intelligence, supply chain, global trade, logistics, or risk-related domains.
  • A strong understanding of cargo flows, container shipment processes, supply chain operations, or global trade workflows.
  • Proven track record of owning product execution end-to-end. You know how to break down complex operational problems into structured workflows.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You are comfortable working closely with an R&D center in Tel Aviv (cross-time-zone collaboration) and engaging directly with high-profile users.
  • Experience working with GenAI-based capabilities (defining user workflows, evaluating data outputs, and driving adoption) is a major advantage.
  • A self-starter mentality. You are comfortable with ambiguity, love hands-on problem-solving, and know how to ask thoughtful, probing questions.

Windward is an equal opportunity employer. All employment decisions are based on business needs, job requirements, and individual qualifications, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran, or disability.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
