About the Role
France is Wheely's fastest-growing market in Europe and we're just getting started. As General Manager, you'll run the full business across Paris and lead our expansion into the South of France and Monaco. You'll have four teams reporting to you and direct ownership of growth in a market with enormous untapped potential. You'll work directly with our CEO/Founder, board and executive team: close enough to move fast, with the backing to make decisions that matter. This is a 24/7 operation serving demanding customers. It requires intensity, commitment, and genuine passion for getting things right.
What you’ll own
- P&L responsibility for France
- The offline product: pricing, availability and fleet composition
- Four local teams
- Driver Operations
- Quality & Training (our Chauffeur Academy)
- Sales (Wheely for Business)
- Marketing
- Expansion strategy for the South of France and Monaco, including launch planning, local partnerships and market development
- Drive business development, identifying and capitalising on new opportunities for growth and partnerships
- Collaboration with central Product team on the passenger and chauffeur experience
- Regulatory strategy: navigating France's VTC licensing and compliance landscape
- External representation: press, partnerships and key stakeholder engagement
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM or Economics from a leading university
- Minimum 7–10 years of total experience, with 5+ years in investment banking, strategy consulting, or high-growth tech
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong analytical / problem-solving skills
- Professional fluency in French and English
- Based in Paris
