In this hybrid role, you will report to our Chief People Officer.

You will:

  • Partner closely with the Chief People Officer and People Leadership team to drive our strategic priorities across the People Team and Waymo. Distill insights and recommendations for leadership.
  • Enable our People Ops vision and priorities by partnering with our People team centers of expertise to seamlessly execute our programs and experiences for our various user segments (Leaders, Managers, Waymonauts overall).
    • Change management expertise and ownership of the stage gates for completion of a project landilanding
  • Identify gaps, roadblocks and points of misalignment, and develop clear actions to address in service of landing all our People team products and services with delight by our users.
  • Elevate our People team brand internally by building strong execution, delivery and trust in service of achieving Waymo’s overall organizational goals.
  • Develop and sustain critical relationships with Director+ level stakeholders in order to ensure strong influence and drive cross-functional leadership alignment in service of shared goals, quickly building and retaining trust.
  • Ownership and execution of internal People Team communication vehicles and content to ensure information flow and updates are real time.

You have:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12+ years relevant work experience, including partnering with People teams involving hands-on project management, business partnership and consulting to implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience with root cause analysis, quickly diagnosing the heart of the issue, from the complex to the complicated, to design and implement solutions that cut across multiple disciplines, including those beyond people and organizational solutions.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to analyze data, understand trends, develop recommendations for action based on the analysis and present up-leveled insights for leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience co-designing and collaborating across the People team to set the vision for what's possible and move our talent strategy forward in partnership with business leaders.
  • Comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done and the next moment being part of deeply complex strategy discussions with frequent shift of focus and topics; effective balance of tailoring solutions and standardization.
  • Experience influencing through strong relationships, expertise and data and managing a complex set of stakeholders.
  • Proven organizational and communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience working in ambiguous and dynamic environments, with high pace of change, flexing and adapting to deliver on the business objectives.

Travel requirements

  • Travel as needed to visit client groups in different office locations + team gatherings

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
