Waymo’s Technical Program Managers are accountable for Waymo’s roadmap execution by providing thoughtful cross-functional planning, clarity, and proactive risk management. In the face of complex technical and operational challenges with no established playbooks to follow, we act with thoughtful urgency, driving conversations, discussions, and outcomes. Our team partners closely with every function of Waymo to structure, own and drive work towards real-world deployments of the Waymo Driver across platforms and geographies.
You will:
- Lead critical Fleet cross-functional programs across Product, Ops, Design, and Engineering, establishing or improving workflows and processes where needed
- Prioritize, manage, and drive issues, risks and dependencies; resolve misalignments with overall scope and schedule
- Keep stakeholders across Waymo informed and aligned; represent programs to senior leadership and partner with them to remove blockers
- Prioritize projects across the portfolio, ensuring scope, time, budget is defined and aligned
You have:
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager
- Track record of managing complex programs where precision and attention to detail are critical to success
- Experience driving large cross-functional programs with a holistic understanding of business-wide functions (ie. Product, Eng, External Engagement, etc)
- Strong leadership skills, and clear verbal and written communication, alongside the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive decision-making
- Expertise in scaling processes within complex, growing areas
We prefer:
- Prior experience with software program management
- Expertise within the autonomous vehicle or automotive industries
- Expertise with Operations/Supply Chain Software
