Policy Intern

YOUR MISSION AT VOI

As Policy Intern, you will work in close collaboration with the Market Development team in reviewing and analysing emerging regulation from the EU, Sweden and the Netherlands to support Voi’s engagement with policymakers and cities. In this role you will gain hands-on experience in policy analysis, public affairs, and evidence-based advocacy, and directly contribute to ensuring Voi remains a trusted, proactive voice in the transport policy landscape. This will include:

  • Conducting data and economic analysis to help support policy decision making
  • Monitoring and reviewing EU-level and national/regional mobility and sustainability policies, particularly in Sweden and the Netherlands
  • Helping to draft Voi’s policy position papers and consultation responses
  • Supporting in the preparation of slide decks and briefing materials for city meetings, conferences, and stakeholder sessions
  • Supporting research and data-gathering efforts with external partners and internal teams
  • Assisting in the coordination and execution of policy research projects
  • Helping to ensure Voi’s messaging is aligned across markets and grounded in evidence

WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK

We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, curious and proactive student with the ambition to build a career in public policy and sustainable mobility, and the ability to translate complex topics to clear messages in a fast-paced environment. In addition to being professionally fluent in English, we believe the right person has:

  • Ongoing studies in economics, political science, public policy, or a related field, with at least one year left before graduation
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • A strong interest in EU policy and public affairs, particularly in the fields of transport, digitalisation, and sustainability
  • Analytical thinking and the ability to work with both qualitative and quantitative data
  • Previous experience with economic policy is a merit
  • Professional fluency in additional european languages, eg. Dutch, German, French or Swedish, is a merit
