What you'll do
The People & Culture (P&C) Business Partner for APAC & Oceania is a trusted advisor to business leaders, responsible for delivering people strategies that drive performance, engagement, and growth across a diverse, multi-country region.
This role combines strategic business partnering with deep expertise in employee relations, local labor laws, and organizational effectiveness. You will translate global people strategies into locally relevant, compliant, and impactful solutions while supporting transformation, capability building, and a positive employee experience.
Operating in a dynamic, global environment, you will partner closely with business leaders, Centers of Excellence (COEs), Legal, and People Operations to ensure consistent and high-quality execution of the people agenda across APAC & Oceania.
The day-to-day
- Act as a Trusted Business Partner: Provide regional and local market P&C expertise to advise the business and lead execution of P&C strategies, policies, projects, and practices across APAC & Oceania. Align business priorities with regional needs and support leaders in delivering business outcomes through effective people solutions.
- Lead Employee Relations in Your Region: Manage complex employee relations matters including investigations, grievances, disciplinary actions, performance management, and workplace disputes. Partner closely with Legal to ensure compliance with local employment laws across multiple jurisdictions. Support consultations, restructuring, redundancies, and employee contract matters.
- Lead with Credibility: Build trust and credibility with stakeholders at all levels by advising, influencing, and constructively challenging on a wide range of P&C matters. Navigate sensitive and complex situations with professionalism and sound judgment.
- Solve Complex Challenges: Analyze root causes of people-related issues and recommend practical, compliant solutions that support business objectives while balancing employee needs and organizational risk.
- Drive Organization Effectiveness & Change: Support organizational design, workforce planning, and transformation initiatives to enable business agility and growth. Coach leaders through change, ambiguity, and evolving business needs across multiple countries.
- Cultivate Collaboration: Partner with COEs and People Operations to deliver core P&C programs effectively. Contribute to global policy design, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Enable Talent & Leadership Development: Support talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives. Partner with leaders to identify, develop, and retain key talent across the region.
- Champion Culture, Engagement & Inclusion: Promote a high-performance and inclusive culture aligned with company values. Monitor engagement trends and partner with leaders to implement initiatives to enhance employee experience.
- Leverage Data & Insights: Use people data and analytics to identify trends, inform decisions, and proactively address workforce challenges. Support workforce planning and strategic decision-making.
- Deliver Operational Excellence: Ensure consistent and compliant delivery of core P&C processes such as performance management, compensation cycles, and employee lifecycle activities.
- Thrive in a Dynamic Environment: Operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed organization, balancing strategic priorities with hands-on execution while supporting ongoing business transformation.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of 5+ years of regional HR experience
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and labour practices across APAC & Oceania
- Extensive employee relations experience, including investigations, grievances, disciplinary actions, and restructuring
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with business leaders and influence decision-making
- Experience supporting organizational design, transformation, and change initiatives
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align people strategies to business outcomes
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and recommend practical solutions
- Strong cultural awareness and experience working across diverse markets
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
- Project management experience and exposure to HR policy development
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems such as Workday and ServiceNow
