What you'll do

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an onsite Billing Manager to join our dynamic team in São Paulo, Brazil!

As the Billing and Order-to-Cash (OTC) Lead for Brazil and Mexico, you will be responsible for the end-to-end integrity of regional financial operations. This role demands a high level of precision in overseeing daily and monthly billing cycles, ensuring that every stage—from order entry and invoicing to payments, collections, and dispute resolution—is executed accurately, on time, and in strict accordance with both contractual obligations and local tax regulations. You will serve as a critical guardian of revenue, meticulously reviewing billing results and reconciliations to proactively identify errors or revenue leakage, while collaborating across IT, Sales, and Customer Service to resolve the root causes of any process breakdowns.

Beyond internal coordination, you will act as the primary liaison for third-party vendors, managing the performance of billing platforms, payment gateways, and collection agencies to ensure seamless operational flow and approved settlements. Your success will be measured by key performance indicators such as billing accuracy, Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and cash collection targets, all of which you will report to finance leadership with a strategic eye for risk escalation. Ultimately, you will drive the evolution of the region’s finance function by spearheading automation initiatives and maintaining rigorous documentation to ensure the business remains compliant with the ever-changing regulatory landscapes of Brazil and Mexico.

The day-to-day

  • Own end-to-end billing operations across Brazil and Mexico, covering order-to-cash processes including order management, credit management, rating, invoicing, collections, refunds, disputes, and partner commissions. Recommend policy changes to finance leadership.
  • Manage monthly billing cycles for high-volume residential customers and complex B2B and government contracts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and contract compliance.
  • Execute and control credit, billing, payments, collections, customer refunds, and dispute resolution activities in line with local regulations and customer agreements.
  • Identify, analyze, and remediate revenue leakage risks across order management, provisioning, rating, and billing processes.
  • Review, reconcile, and approve partner sales, fulfillment, and commission settlements.
  • Ensure compliance with billing, consumer protection, tax, and payment regulations in Brazil and Mexico.
  • Coordinate day-to-day billing and finance operations with global Billing and Shared Services teams and local outsourced accounting provider.
  • Manage and oversee third-party vendors related to billing operations, including credit bureaus, print and distribution vendors, collection agencies, and payment gateways.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Customer Service, IT, and Finance to resolve billing issues and improve customer experience across all customer segments.
  • Define, track, and report key billing and collections KPIs such as billing accuracy, dispute aging, DSO, and cash collection performance.
  • Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives across billing processes and systems in both countries.
  • Support internal and external audits by maintaining strong controls, documentation, and reconciliations.

What you'll need

  • 5+ years of experience in billing, order-to-cash, or revenue assurance management roles within telecommunications, cable TV, broadband, or subscription-based services.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance or related field
  • Hands-on experience supporting residential and B2B billing operations; government or public-sector billing experience is a strong plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Brazilian billing processes, banking practices, and consumer regulations; exposure to Mexico billing and tax requirements is preferred.
  • Experience working with large datasets and billing systems; SQL and Python experience and use of AI tools are a plus.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and implement scalable solutions.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and escalate risks and issues appropriately.
  • Advanced oral and written English and Portuguese.
