What you'll do

We're excited to announce a dynamic opportunity for a talented Treasury and Risk Analyst to join our growing team! This role offers the flexibility and convenience of fully remote work, allowing you to contribute from anywhere in the United States.

This is your opportunity to work hands-on in the treasury/risk/credit department at a global organization. The day-to-day

  • Provide support across all aspects of Viasat’s property and casualty insurance programs, including underwriting data compilation, coverage placement, claims administration, and loss forecasting/analysis
  • Respond to internal inquiries related to risk management processes and policies, escalating issues requiring interpretation when necessary
  • Deliver risk mitigation guidance to business units and support the organization's insurance strategy
  • Lead and support insurance program renewals, including broker management, negotiation of pricing and terms, and marketing Viasat's risk profile to underwriters
  • Evaluate new and emerging risks and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Advise management and project teams on insurance-related considerations for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate initiatives
  • Issue certificates of insurance (COI’s)
  • Work closely with credit manager to assess customer credit risk and recommend credit terms
  • Provide general support to the Treasury team such as template creation, opening new bank accounts, preparation of KYC documentation, preparing daily cash reports, and assistance with Treasury projects and audits
  • Maintain treasury policies and procedures documentation.

What you'll need

  • 5-8 years of experience in financial operations, specifically within insurance, treasury, or credit, with a strong preference for a background in Risk Management.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field is required.
  • Applicants should have a foundational understanding of property and casualty (P&C) risk operations.
  • Proven experience navigating global banking platforms and managing international cash operations is essential.
  • Candidates must demonstrate intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel to manage complex financial data and reporting.
  • Successful candidates will exhibit excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking skills to handle various priorities effectively.
  • The role requires an individual who can work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively to a collaborative, team-based environment.

What will help you on the job

  • Professional experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry as an analyst.
  • Experience with ERP such as Oracle or SAP.
  • Familiarity with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) such as Kyriba.

Salary range

$75,000.00 - $119,000.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $93,000.00- $140,000.00/ annually
