What you'll do
Viasat’s International Government business unit delivers against the requirements for voice, data and video services with demand for global availability and utmost reliability. Whether a military commander on operations, a government official responding to a local emergency or a head of state conducting international affairs, Inmarsat provides them with essential access to voice and broadband data, where and when they need it.
The day-to-day
***This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract***
In this role, the right candidate will lead market and competitive intelligence initiatives including market insight, trends analysis, competitive intelligence, market research and competitive pricing analysis to deliver critical insight to inform business strategy, pricing decisions, market positioning and new growth opportunities.
- Market insight:
- Conduct market sizing and opportunity prioritisation models to support strategic decision making.
- Produce regular market trends analysis to identify new growth opportunities and ensure the BU’s strategy is aligned with market priorities and customers’ requirements.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues internally to assist with planning and Quarterly Strategy reviews.
- Give strategic market and competitive insights for new business cases.
- Produce regular strategic intelligence briefings to the Senior Leadership Team and tactical deliverables (Battle Cards, Intelligence briefs. etc) to support the Sales teams.
- Competitive Intelligence:
- Analyse competitor trends to develop and deliver regular competitive intelligence reports including Competitors profiles, SWOT analysis, financial analysis, new products and services benchmark...
- Track competitor pricing strategies across products and regions, and analyse market share changes to identify new risks to the business and support the refinement of the BU’s strategy
- Lead 3rd party engagement with external primary and secondary insight providers to deliver strategic custom analysis
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in market and competitive intelligence including pricing analysis and opportunity prioritisation models within the Satcom market.
- Strong analytical capabilities and advanced Excel and data visualisation skills.
