What you'll do
Join Viasat's Product Management organization and join a team that plays a pivotal role in crafting our product offerings. Evaluate markets, seize opportunities, and improve existing products to ensure our world-class teams develop valuable propositions. We are excited to welcome interns to our team this summer to assist with this exciting work!
The day-to-day
- Assists product managers with market research, competitive analysis, and product strategy development
- Collects and analyzes data/metrics for product performance and reporting to make recommendations to the team
- Builds out automated and manual processes
- Assists in gathering and documenting requirements, Decomposes a product/feature into discrete tasks
- Identifies dependencies between market needs and engineering capabilities
- Comprehends product decisions impacting Operations, Planning, Strategy, and Finance
- Work closely with engineering as technical peer
- Provides support with data-driven arguments
Internship Program Details:
- You will work onsite at a Viasat office location for the duration of your 12-13 week internship. Viasat embraces a flexible work environment and onsite/hybrid work is determined by individual roles and teams.
- Housing and relocation assistance are available to interns pending eligibility.
- To ensure equity across our intern population, intern compensation is pre-determined based on a variety of factors including: role, location, and final graduation date. Intern compensation is non-negotiable.
What you'll need
Education Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in data science, engineering, math, physics, or a related STEM field
- To be eligible for this position your final graduation date must fall between December 2025 and June 2026
Internship Dates:
- You must be available for the full duration of the 12-13 week internship program. Note limited exceptions may be granted. Viasat offers two options based on semester and quarter academic calendars:
- Cohort 1: May 20th, 2025 – August 15th, 2025 (if hired by April 1st)
- Cohort 2: June 17th, 2025 – September 12th, 2025

Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
