Vast offers an internship program with hands-on opportunities to be part of our mission. Our interns are mentored by industry experts responsible for developing and telling the story of our progress, mission, and vision to stakeholders, from government agencies to scientists to private passengers. This is a 12-week summer internship at our headquarters in Long Beach, CA.
During your internship, you may gain experience in:
- Collaborating with partners and customers on storytelling moments
- Supporting the development of stories and/or content for events and announcements
- Researching and fact-checking to help with storytelling
- Support media monitoring and media relations efforts
- Helping to manage reactive media inquiries
- Identifying gaps and opportunities to strengthen our efforts in differentiating Vast across the space landscape
- Coordination of on-site events
Minimum Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program from an accredited college or university in communications, public relations, journalism, writing, marketing, technical writing, humanities, or related field during the time of their internship
- Ability to work full-time onsite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and problem-solve
- Work well under pressure and tight deadlines
- A positive and curious attitude with team spirit
- Experience using Airtable a plus, not a necessity
Pay Rate:
- $33/hr (Bachelor's Degree)
- $38/hr (Master's Degree)
U.S. EXPORT CONTROL COMPLIANCE STATUS
The person hired will have access to information and items subject to U.S. export controls, and therefore, must either be a “U.S. person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.
