Job description
At UNIVITY we believe that everyone on Earth should have access to internet connectivity and we are on a mission to empower telecom operators to deliver high-performance, affordable, sustainable internet from space to their clients where terrestrial networks are not available.
We will launch our first mission in 2025. This Early Test is dedicated to validating the core technology that will enable broadband internet transmission from space. The Early Test will pave the way for our next major milestone: an in-orbit demonstration in 2027, where two complete satellites will be deployed to further validate the system end-to-end. The following step will be to deploy our full constellation of disruptive satellites, enabling telecom operators to provide seamless connectivity
worldwide.

UNIVITY is looking for a IVV Software Engineer / Senior IVV Software Engineer to join the team in either our Toulouse office, and reports to the Senior 5G Software Architect.
As IVV Software Engineer / Senior IVV Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the software systems which are at the heart of our development.
Your key responsibilities and tasks:
• Drafting Specifications & Design Documentation – Creating detailed specifications and design documents while adhering to industry standards.
• Conducting Tests – Performing automated and manual tests on boards and benches using frameworks.
• Analyzing & Implementing Code – Working with programming languages such as C++ to analyze and implement software solutions.
• Verification & Validation – Ensuring that the software meets the required functionality and security standards through independent verification and validation.
• Test Planning & Execution – Designing test plans and scenarios, executing functional,
performance, security, and integration tests.
• Defect Analysis & Debugging – Identifying anomalies, debugging issues, and ensuring software reliability.
• Documentation & Reporting – Producing test reports, specifications, and procedural
documentation.
Profile required
Skills and experience
• Master’s degree, PhD (or equivalent) in Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 to 7 years of experience with Software IVV ideally in embedded electronics development.
• Software Testing & Debugging – Expertise in various testing methodologies (unit, system, integration, acceptance testing).
• Programming Languages – Proficiency in C++, Python, Java, or similar languages.
• Automation & Scripting – Experience with testing automation tools
• System Integration – Understanding of software architecture and integration techniques.
• Verification & Validation – Knowledge of IVV processes to ensure software meets requirements.
• Good written and oral communication skills in French and English with an ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
