UNIVITY is looking for a Validation and EGSE Engineer (EGSE stands for Electrical Ground Support Equipment) to join the team in Toulouse office and reports to the Senior Avionics Engineer.
As a validation and EGSE engineer, you will be part of the Functional Validation team and participate to validation campaign on the Flatsat for the In-orbit demonstrator and the full constellation program. You will also work on the EGSE for the Flatsat and the satellite in AIT. You will develop, assemble, integrate and validate EGSE required for satellite AIT activities, in collaboration with the AIT manager and the Functional Validation architect.
Your key responsibilities and tasks:
• Write the test procedure from the avionics test plan requirements
• Write the test scripts and execute them on the test benches, with the support of the functional validation team
• Analyse test results, and coordinate with avionics team in case of anomaly for correction or work-around, with the support of the functional validation team
• Maintain comprehensive documentation about the full functional validation activities (procedures, as-run, anomalies, …).
• From EGSE technical specifications, contribute to the EGSE detailed design, including internal harness, accommodation
• Define the Hardware list of EGSE
• Contribute to EGSE Software development
• Interface with the supplier for EGSE components for technical topics
• Perform mechanical and electrical integration of EGSE components
• Contribute to EGSE Software integration
• Define EGSE test plan
• Write the test scripts and execution them for EGSE validation
• Interface with certification support for EGSE certification
Profile required
Skills and experience
• Bachelor’s or master’s level qualification in engineering
• Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering, including at least an experience in validation and test benches usage
• Programming Languages: Python, TCL, sh
• Good knowledge of Linux environment
• Experience with tools such as oscilloscope, bus spy, multimeter
• Experience with Hardware manipulation and electrical integration
• Experience in developing support software and test scripts.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues in avionics.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English.
