Your Role: What you'll be doing
This position is located at the ULA rocket manufacturing, final assembly, and test facility in Decatur Alabama. This position will primarily interface remotely with the ULA Denver Engineering team, in addition to the local ULA Production and Launch Site teams.
- Major responsibilities will include:
- Generation of engineering drawings or changes including assembly and testing requirements
- Interfacing with component supplier engineering teams for the design, integration, and testing of component
- Causal analysis of anomalies that provides effective resolution and mitigations for future issues
- Review the as-built product (hardware and associated software) and product test data to certify that the final product configuration and performance meet requirements and are ready for test and/or flight.
- Develop design improvements that reduce cost and risk and/or improve vehicle performance.
- Perform system integration and perform system-level trade studies to optimize designs for manufacturing, reproducibility, and performance
- Integration between the ULA production and engineering team to resolve technical anomalies and improve manufacturing
- This engineering function will have opportunities for travel to support supplier or ULA operations at other sites for product evaluation anomaly resolution, and to develop strong relationships outside and within ULA.
- Travel times and frequency may vary based on need, but on average travel will be 2-4 trips annually with the duration of travel being less than (1) work week per trip.
Your Background: What education and experience you'll need
Requires a bachelor’s degree and 4 - 8 years of experience.
Your Background: What skills you'll need
- A bachelors degree in engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university is required.
- Experience in technical leadership with a small to medium-sized team (4-10 individuals) which demonstrated successful collaboration
- The ability to be a force multiplier through the effective teaching and mentoring of others
- Demonstrated proficiency with propulsion and structural design with Siemens NX and Teamcenter or similar CAD tools (e.g. Solidworks)
- Manufacturing and machining (including GD&T) experience

Summary Salary Range (Colorado Only)
$100,776 - $157,435
Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate’s experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
