About the Role

As a Operations Manager in the Financial Business Group, you will help shape and drive Uber’s financial products in Latin America, driving financial contribution and engagement impact among drivers, couriers and merchants by understanding their financial needs and delivering tailored, competitive financial solutions. You will manage end-to-end operations, including working with external partners, analyzing and reporting data, creating communications and shaping the plan to make the programs successful. You'll work on both strategy and implementation, requiring a blend of problem-solving, data analysis, market insight, and stakeholder management, while collaborating across Mobility, Delivery, Strategy & Planning, Business Development, Legal, Data Science and Tech teams.

What you'll do:

  1. Problem solving - Being able to solve issues that involve people, things, and processes by using logic, common sense and data. Identifying the root cause of a problem as opposed to focusing on the symptoms.
  2. Project/Stakeholder management - Lead big project implementations, working with stakeholders from different seniority levels and locations
  3. Analytics - Define metrics that should be tracked, targets and monitor results
  4. Strategy - Based on data, choose which projects the team should prioritize, and set a timeline to reach goals quickly
  5. Product Improvement - Proactively search for new features which could improve a seamless payment experience; Lead new product feature research and competitive analysis and proactively give feedback to the Product team
  6. Develop & Optimize Processes - Scale new and existing processes to allow the business to efficiently operate
  7. Be owner - Take ownership of Uber's financial products growth in LatAm and do everything you can to support and enhance the quality of our services; We expect you to be proactive and resourceful in order to remove road blockers and find creative solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  1. +3 years of high performing work experience in startup, strategy, operations, analytics, business development, or a variety of other specialty roles with demonstrated ability in quantitative fields.
  2. Excellent communication skills that will allow you to clearly explain your work and to participate in constructive debate
  3. Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment while maintaining flexibility and a collaborative attitude
  4. A willingness to be "on the ground" working responsively with bank and other payments partners
  5. Stakeholder management
  6. English proficiency
  7. SQL knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Spanish proficiency
  2. Experience or familiarity within financial services (e.g., loans, credit solutions, card/wallet management, etc).
