---- What the Candidate Will Do ----

Executional Excellence

  1. Deliver outstanding operational outcomes in line with agreed service level agreements, while respecting our regulatory obligations
  2. Maintain a high quality of output and attention to detail to ensure that tasks are accurate and complete on time

Data & Case Handling

  1. Own monthly and periodic data provisions to regulators, ensuring data is accurate, timely, and aligned to agreed templates and automation flows.
  2. Pull, reconcile, and quality-check data needed for audits and RFIs using internal data tools such as QueryBuilder, dashboards, and trackers.
  3. Prepare first-draft written responses and supporting attachments for routine audits and requests
  4. Support on-site or virtual audits by organising data packs, walking through operational flows, and capturing follow-up actions, with L4 or Legal acting as primary external lead

Subject Matter Expertise

  1. Demonstrates a deep expertise in our regulatory and reporting requirements in Taiwan; has the ability to address agent inquiries and handle escalations to ensure regulatory compliance and meet SLA.

Operational Excellence

  1. As the team’s scope increases across the APAC region, you will play a key role in ensuring continuous improvement and seamless operations as the team scales
  2. Drive improvements to efficiency, accuracy, scalability and robustness by proactively identifying areas for improvement
  3. Propose, build and launch innovative and AI-fueled solutions to address process gaps and concerns

Governance

  1. Maintain and improve regulatory SOPs, knowledge bases and checklists so requests, audits, and regular reporting can be executed consistently by the broader team and scaled effectively in future
  2. Identify recurring pain points or manual steps and propose pragmatic simplifications or automation opportunities, and build / launch them where required
  3. Help ensure records are complete, accurate, and auditable, and supporting periodic self-checks or governance reviews.
  4. Keep single sources of truth (SSOT) such as knowledge bases, master repositories, and risk / reg trackers up to date so that the team remains audit-ready and can quickly respond to new enquiries.

Stakeholder management & Communication

  1. Coordinate closely with cross-functional stakeholders (legal, safety, operations, policy) to collect input for audits and requests for information, and ensure responses reflect Uber’s agreed-upon position
  2. Liaise closely with other Community Operations teams to clarify compliance requirements, and monitor and surface any handling issues which may have regulatory impact
  3. Display excellent communication skills in engagements with regulators and internal stakeholders

---- Basic Qualifications ----

  1. Stakeholder management: demonstrated experience in a customer support, operations, regulatory, risk, or analytics role where you regularly worked with multiple stakeholders in different teams and with different perspectives
  2. Strong data literacy and comfort working with spreadsheets and querying tools to pull, join, and sanity-check datasets for internal and external presentation
  3. Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical and operational details into clear narratives that regulators and non-technical partners can understand.
  4. High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership for data quality, documentation hygiene, and meeting deadlines, especially when responding to formal government requests.
  5. Comfort working in a fast-paced occasionally ambiguous environment, balancing multiple requests and priorities while following structured processes and escalation paths.
  6. Continuous improvement mindset: You proactively look for opportunities to Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, unstructured environment

---- Preferred Qualifications ----

  1. Prior experience with regulatory reporting, safety operations, or government-facing compliance work in Taiwan, ANZ, or other regulated markets.
  2. Working proficiency in Mandarin and English. Note that you will be required to review Chinese-language regulatory correspondence and draft or quality-check responses, especially for Taiwan regulators. You will be expected to engage with internal stakeholders in both Mandarin and English.
  3. SQL proficiency or experience partnering with data/engineering teams to design and maintain data pipelines for operational use
  4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills across multiple functions and teams - a natural storyteller and consensus builder
