About the Role
We’re looking for an Accommodations Program Manager responsible for managing Uber’s Reasonable Accommodation (Medical & Religious) program.
The Accommodations Program Manager is responsible for the development of the workplace accommodation’s strategy and operational frameworks. You will serve as a subject matter expert in the space to employees, managers, and internal HR teams.Your expertise will ensure seamless management of accommodation consultations in the US&C with our external Leave & Accommodations Administrator. You will partner closely with our internal Benefits, Employment Legal and HR teams, along with our external Leave Administrator to ensure processes are both compliant and compassionate.
What You'll Do

Manage the daily operations for the US&C Accommodations function, ensuring the interactive process is handled with empathy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Consult with employees and internal teams to understand job requirements, individual disability limitations and feasibility of requested accommodations
- Produce and analyze reports and metrics to identify trends, discrepancies and potential areas of program improvement
- Vendor management for Uber’s third-party leave and disability partner, holding them accountable to SLAs and performance standards.
Serve as the Global Program Owner for Workplace Accommodations, defining the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for disability enablement across the organization.
- Establish global frameworks that empower regional HR teams to manage local accommodation needs independently while maintaining global consistency.
- Define and optimize end-to-end workflows, policies, and communication strategies to ensure a seamless, high-touch employee experience that exceeds regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) and internal consultant for complex, high-risk, or executive-level accommodation cases globally.
- Own global data hygiene for the accommodations function, implementing auditing processes to ensure all case records and systems of record (Workday, ServiceNow, etc.) are accurate and up-to-date.
- Drive Disability Enablement by designing and delivering comprehensive training programs for employees, managers, and People Partner teams to foster an inclusive culture.
- Continuously iterate on program toolkits, FAQs, and self-service resources to reduce friction and increase manager confidence in supporting diverse abilities.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional, related experience as a HR generalist/advisor, business partner or project/program manager in the human resources/benefits discipline
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of comprehensive experience in Accommodation Case Management.
- Solid knowledge of US federal/state leave of absence, disability and accommodation laws, including the ADA, FMLA
- Solid understanding of the workplace accommodation process.
- Experience with coaching line managers & peers on HR, benefits, and accommodation processes and supporting them in strengthening their leadership skills
- Strong analytical skills and logical thought processes, with the ability to identify and resolve sophisticated and sensitive HR issues/problems
- Proven effective partner management and collaboration with other teams to deliver a consistent employee experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and strong project management expertise
- ServiceNow or similar case management system is a plus
- PHR and/or CPDM certification
- Knowledge of Canadian leave of absence and accommodation laws and practices
- Strong business acumen. Ability to understand Uber’s businesses and how data can inform our people and business objectives.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$114,000 per year - USD$127,000 per year.
You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan.
