Uber is looking for a Senior Process Optimization Specialist to expand its Team in Krakow.
The Krakow Center of Excellence is taking a new highway to become a major Technology Hub in Central & Eastern Europe, focusing on Process Optimization, Data Analytics & Automation.
About the role
You will work on complex business processes that are essential to keep the Uber operations in good functioning order.
You will ensure your actions are run properly and on time, meeting the expectations in terms of quality and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), by following the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
While executing these processes, you will identify areas of improvement, conduct root-cause analyses, build data-driven strategies and implement your enhancements iteratively and incrementally.
You will participate in the design of new processes and analyze their execution on small cohorts before scale up. Accordingly, you will prepare brand-new SOPs and ensure they are kept up to date.

About the Team
The team’s mission: backing creativity with operational efficiency.
Based in the Krakow CoE, the team is cross-functional and supports operations at regional and global level.
We focus on four core areas:
- Business Processes (design, execution, optimization)
- Automation (process automation, real-time monitoring, refactoring)
- Data Analytics (query, deepdive, self-operating dashboard, data pipeline)
- Data Science (modeling, machine learning, patterns identification, prediction)
The span of work is large, covering multiple verticals (such as Uber Rides, Eats, High Capacity Vehicle, Payment, Strategy & Planning) and Mega-Regions (such as Global, EMEA, US&C).

What You’ll Do
- Participate in the design of new business processes
- Write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and keep them updated
- Execute complex processes and work on their continuous optimization
- Write queries and scripts to reduce execution time and guide other team members
- Own end-to-end project plan and suggest improvements for the entire portfolio
- Improve technical skills continuously to match evolving business needs
- Work on business-critical processes in coordination with Stakeholders and Team Members
What You’ll Need
- Good knowledge in Google Sheets (reporting & trend analysis), SQL, and Google Script
Proven track record in operational excellence and continuous optimization, executing multiple business processes in accordance with SOPs and creating flows (ex., Lucidchart)
Practical experience in executing and optimizing large-scale processes (mega-region)
Faculty to guide project designs and continuous improvements
- Ability to work on your own initiative independently (proactive) or in a Group (excellent teammate)
- Strong Analytical Skills, Critical Thinking, Business Acumen
- Excellent written and spoken English (fluent)
