About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Level 5 (L5) Technology Transformation Manager to join our Order to Cash (OTC) Global Process Owner (GPO) team. This pivotal role will be the dedicated OTC champion responsible for ensuring the successful, seamless transition of our Order to Cash functions during our company-wide migration to Oracle Cloud ERP.

As a core member of the GPO team, you will play a crucial role in leading and driving the transformation of our OTC processes and systems. This individual will drive the execution of this transformational project by applying their deep OTC and technology transformation expertise, collaborating with partners across the organization, and defining business processes that ensure minimal disruption, improve automation, control adherence, standardization, and simplicity within the new Oracle environment.

The GPO OTC Technology Transformation Manager reports to the Head of the OTC Global Process Owners (GPO), and is a core member of the GPO Module Leadership Team, within the broader Order to Cash Organization at Uber Technologies Inc (UTI), a component of the broader Finance Operations Group.

What You'll Do

This role will be focused on driving operational scale, technology transformation, and business growth through high-impact solution design, with a primary focus on the Oracle Cloud migration.

Oracle Cloud Migration & OTC Advocacy:

  • Lead OTC Representation: Act as the primary Order to Cash Subject Matter Expert (SME), driving OTC's interests and requirements throughout the full lifecycle of the Oracle Cloud migration project.
  • Design & Vet Migration: Thoroughly vet the migration approach, design, and configurations to ensure they do not interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the current or future state of OTC's core functions (Order Management, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Credit, and Cash Application).
  • UAT & Testing Leadership: Own and lead the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategy and execution for all OTC-related processes within Oracle Cloud, ensuring comprehensive coverage and sign-off from all relevant business stakeholders.
  • Gap Identification & Remediation: Be solely responsible for identifying, documenting, and prioritizing any process, system, or data gaps created by the migration and promptly developing and implementing mitigation and remediation plans to address them.

General Transformation & Process Improvement:

  • Design and deploy internal tool strategies; create and manage multi-quarter roadmaps, specifically integrating Oracle Cloud capabilities.
  • Develop and communicate current and future state business processes, data flows and process diagrams, user journeys and workflows.
  • Identify and holistically assess both data and process problems as well as business needs to create recommendations, specifically related to Oracle Cloud functionality.
  • Propose solutions to improve productivity, decrease overall complexity, minimize technical debt, and enable better data integrity within the new system.
  • Regularly assess and communicate project constraints or risks globally, particularly those impacting OTC continuity; identify project dependencies and mitigation plans.
  • Influence change management strategies and be responsible for deploying, where applicable, to ensure smooth adoption of the new Oracle Cloud platform by the OTC organization.
  • Build cross-functional relationships and partner effectively with the Oracle Program Team, Sales Systems Engineering, Data Science, Business Operations, Product, and vendors to identify opportunities, design, and deliver results.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ Years of Professional Experience in technology transformation, OTC operations, or a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects and driving process improvements.
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle ERP implementation or migration projects (preferably Oracle Cloud/Fusion), specifically concerning the Record to Report (RTR) and Order to Cash (OTC) modules (e.g., Accounts Receivable, Billing, General Ledger).
  • CPA/MBA or Formal Agile and/or Six Sigma certifications.
  • Deep expertise in the end-to-end Order to Cash process (Credit, Order Management, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Cash Application) and the associated technical data structures.
  • Excellent communication skills, and evidenced ability to communicate with varied audiences, including technical teams and executive business leaders, in making the complex simple. Proven track record in consulting and influencing with internal business clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and improve end-to-end processes with a strong, proven track record in business process re-engineering and systems analysis within an ERP environment.
  • Senior end-to-end Project management experience coupled with world-class expertise on both Credit & Collections.
  • Experience working in a high-growth, high-volume organization.
  • Familiarity with various OTC software solutions and how they integrate with a core ERP like Oracle.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, including Sarbanes Oxley compliance, as they apply to a newly implemented ERP system.
  • Experience or active exposure to advanced technologies (e.g., Machine Learning, AI, RPA) and their application to optimize OTC processes within a cloud environment is a must.
