About the Role
The Regulated Services Team (RST) is an organization within Uber focused on enabling compliant, scalable payment services across our global footprint.
The Operations Lead is accountable for overseeing program delivery and regulatory operations across multiple regions. Based in Amsterdam, this role provides leadership and direction across the UK, EEA, Mexico and APAC, ensuring consistent service delivery, strong governance, and effective delivery of compliance, risk and operational services, ensuring strong execution, regulatory readiness, and operational resilience across licensed entities.
What You'll Do
- Provide overall leadership and ensure successful delivery of regulatory operations and program delivery across regulated markets (Mexico, UK, EEA, Taiwan).
- Manage and support Program Managers responsible for executing on program management projects, product planning and execution and audit remediations.
- Oversee events and incidents management for licensed entities, ensuring effective governance and timely escalation.
- Support the team in delivering robust intra-group service delivery and third-party/outsourcing oversight in line with regulatory expectations.
- Act as a key point of escalation and coordination across Compliance, Risk, Product and Operations teams.
- Provide clear prioritisation, direction, and decision-making to balance regulatory obligations with business delivery timelines.
- Drive continuous improvement across operational processes, governance frameworks, and ways of working.
What You''ll Need
- 5+ years of experience in regulatory operations, program delivery, risk, compliance, or operational leadership roles, preferably within financial services or fintech.
- Demonstrated experience leading across complex, cross-functional environments.
- Practical knowledge of regulatory frameworks and guidelines, for example, EBA Outsourcing Guidelines, FCA requirements, DORA, PSD2, and operational resilience expectations.
- Experience overseeing third-party risk management, outsourcing, and intra-group service delivery frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, dependencies, and risks across regions and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvements through automation, tooling, or process redesign.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong execution mindset with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and fast-changing environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with regulated payment institutions or licensed financial entities.
- Experience working across multiple regions.
