About the Safety Team

The mission of the Safety product group is for Uber to be the safest and the most trusted transportation choice and support riders and drivers with empathy and care when things go wrong. The Product Operations Specialist supporting this Area will play a key role in bringing this mission to life, partnering with key stakeholders throughout the Company to ensure we develop products that our customers want and need. Our group of product teams build a diverse array of products to serve a wide range of customers - everything from drivers, couriers, riders and eaters. Our products touch 100% of global trips and create innovative solutions requiring tight coordination of hardware, software and operations.

What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points

  1. Define and implement operating structures and processes to execute product strategy effectively.
  2. Lead a community of strategic leaders to drive impactful business outcomes.
  3. Maintain regular communication with key stakeholders across the organization.
  4. Ensure alignment of functional partners on key objectives for product launches.
  5. Advise product teams on global feasibility and user experience throughout the product lifecycle.
  6. Develop comprehensive product rollout plans and project-manage implementation across global markets.
  7. Collaborate with legal, tax, policy, and support teams to prepare products for launch.
  8. Track and analyze core business metrics related to product performance.
  9. Identify and address key challenges and opportunities post-launch to drive product improvements.
  10. Surface key insights from business data to inform strategic decisions.

---- Basic Qualifications ----

  1. Minimum 6+ years of experience in operations, business consulting, finance, or a related analytic role.
  2. Deep understanding of user experience principles, supply and demand models and ability to use data to support decision-making.
  3. Excellent communication skills and large-scale project management experience.
  4. Past experience managing people.

---- Preferred Qualifications ----

  1. Prior experience working with tech teams in global projects or an international setting.
  2. Ability to foster collaboration and facilitate teamwork across functions.
  3. Strategic alignment skills, capable of uniting diverse stakeholders towards common goals.
  4. Experience in the safety space is a plus.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$171,000 per year - USD$190,000 per year.
