About the Role
We’re looking for a sharp, highly organized, and entrepreneurial Strategy & Operations Manager to join the US&C and LATAM Supply Operations team. In this pivotal role, you'll be a part of Uber AI Solutions - a new initiative at Uber focused on redefining work in the AI Era.
You’ll be responsible for designing and executing scalable strategies to attract, onboard, and engage skilled gig workers, powered by smart technology, automation, and rigorous operational frameworks. This is a rare opportunity to be a founding member of a new business unit at Uber, build from 0-> 1, and make a tangible impact on how AI systems are powered. What you'll do:
- Build & Scale: Develop foundational processes, tools, and playbooks to launch freelancer supply and engagement across multiple US&C and LATAM markets.
- Outreach & Activation: Lead local and regional gig worker or vendor outreach campaigns, events, and onboarding efforts—ensuring a seamless, high-touch experience.
- Optimize & Experiment: Use data and structured thinking to improve operations, run experiments, and optimize outreach and engagement strategies.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Legal, Marketing, etc.) and external partners to deploy plans and speed to market.
- Support & Solve: Serve as a trusted resource for gig workers; resolving issues, building FAQs, and improving support touchpoints.
- Vendor Partnership: Source, negotiate terms and establish strong relationships with relevant vendor partners
- Organization & Documentation: Maintain organized outreach documentation and build frameworks for scaling people-centric processes.
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in marketplace or e-commerce operations, SPO/BPO/RPO recruitment, strategy, consulting, analytics, or related fields
- Experience in vendor management, partnerships, sourcing, campus recruitment, live workforce marketplace operations and or within a related field
- Bachelor's degree
- A motivated self-starter that can work independently in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, and Google Forms for data analysis and automation
- Highly analytical and structured—able to connect dots between data, operations, and business impact
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to “be the face of Uber”
- Strong project management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- High standards and a bias for action, you don’t wait for answers; you find them and push things forward
- Grit, perseverance, and a proactive mindset; you stay composed under pressure and get things done
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity or interest in AI, LLMs, SaaS, or ML models and how they intersect with real-world gig work
- Prior experience in community building, leading and organizing events in LATAM Universities, clubs, associations or other relevant work experience for prospecting and building an engaged pipeline and network
