About the Role

As an Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving key initiatives across our business with a special focus on fraud and compliance. Your focus will be on six specific markets within our MENA region - Qatar, Morocco, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon and Iraq.

You will be expected to develop deep expertise in Uber’s fraud and risk tools, and must possess strong data analytics skills to identify fraud patterns (MOs) across our cities in those markets. Leveraging these insights, they will build actionable recommendations and tools to effectively mitigate fraud and risk across the region.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to improve operational performance, optimize processes, and enhance both internal and external stakeholder experiences.

You will own local execution, support strategic rollouts, and collaborate across teams to scale solutions efficiently. The ideal candidate is analytical, action-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities.

  1. Lead and support high-impact projects from planning through execution, contributing to strategic goals.
  2. Analyze performance metrics and operational data to surface insights and recommend improvements.
  3. Collaborate with product, policy, marketing, and operations teams to localize and roll out initiatives.
  4. Troubleshoot issues affecting customer or partner experience and design solutions that can scale.
  5. Build documentation, processes, and playbooks to ensure consistency and knowledge transfer.
  6. Support engagement efforts with stakeholders (internal and external) to align on goals and performance.
  7. Coordinate campaigns, initiatives, and events with operational and marketing impact.
  8. Contribute to budget tracking, reporting, and forecasting as needed.

---- Basic Qualifications ----

  1. Min 3 years of experience in operations, logistics, strategy, or project management.
  2. Prior experience working in cross-functional teams. Experience with identifying, building and improving operational processes
  3. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams independently.
  4. Analytical mindset: Comfortable working with data to inform decisions (SQL a plus).
  5. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  6. Ideally, proficient in Arabic.
  7. Problem-solving approach and comfort with ambiguity in fast-paced settings.
  8. Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or a related field.
  9. Experience in data tools (SQL, Excel, Tableau) is a plus.

  1. Strong preference for the candidate to be proficient in Arabic.
