About the Role

Uber is transforming the future of grocery & retail, building the world’s best and biggest marketplace for on-demand delivery of all local commerce.

As part of the Global Merchant Operations team for Grocery & Retail (GR), you will help to ensure an exceptional experience for the merchants on the Uber platform. You will support our merchants as they partner with Uber to grow their business and provide a world-class delivery experience to customers.

In this role, you will work closely with local operations and commercial teams around the globe, as well as GR leadership and product development teams. You will analyze operational data and Uber's merchant products, continuously improving Uber's processes, programs, and products to empower our merchants.

This role calls for a well-rounded combination of strategic thinking, collaboration skills, operational excellence and leadership ability. We operate in a fast-paced environment, so we are looking for a highly adaptable candidate who can thrive in a dynamic culture with both long-term strategic initiatives and execution of shorter-term 'quick wins'.

This role is open for New York City and Amsterdam.

What You'll Do

  • Be a key business partner for local merchant operations and cross functional teams and identify, prioritize and deliver impactful initiatives to improve our merchant performance
  • Establish strong relationships across the organization and work closely with many business areas (Community Operations, Local Operations, Business Development, Finance, Product, etc.) to ensure we bring the best insight to each problem
  • Drive local success - support product builds & rollouts as well as local merchant performance improvement campaigns
  • Drive analysis and synthesize findings into clear recommendations for leadership and cross-functional teams to endorse

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in strategy, operations, finance, consulting, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), to effectively engage and drive consensus across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong stakeholder management experience and skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in merchant operations
  • Strong SQL skills

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$119,000 per year - USD$132,500 per year.
