About The RoleResiding within Uber’s business technology engineering team, this role will serve as the primary technical liaison to Uber’s various security teams and drive security solutions within IT in order to meet Uber’s enterprise security standards.This key role is expected to understand security strategy, yet devise the required processes and technology selections to guide security outcomes to fruition.What You’ll Do

• Serve as a key partner to the engineering security team and its various sub-teams
• Help with prioritizing security asks of the IT team from various stakeholders
• Make technical recommendations for how to operationalize security policies and controls within IT systems
• Routinely monitor operational security tooling to ensure security goals are on-track
• Create presentations to articulate IT’s progress on security goals
• Create and review engineering requirements documents (ERDs) and ensure security concerns are addressed for systems within IT Eng

We’re Looking For a Track Record Of

• 10+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years of direct information security experience
• Familiarity with industry security frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27000
• Hands-on experience implementing security policy controls within operational tooling
• Real-world experience with enterprise security tools such as SIEM, SaaS management platforms, or CASB solutions
• Designing security architectures for SaaS applications such as workday, Salesforce, Servicenow and documenting them in a manner which engineers and IT administrators can understand

Preferred Qualifications

• Security certifications are not required, but are desirable. Example certifications include CISSP, CEH, or equivalent.
• You must have a thorough understanding of how to secure SaaS business systems. Examples include making best practice recommendations for Google Workspace, or examining Salesforce.com configurations for common security issues.
