About The RoleUber is looking for a Benefits Operations Analyst to oversee and drive program administration within the Global Benefits team, focusing on the US and Canada benefit programs. Our exponential growth brings us unique challenges - join us as we build innovative and creative solutions while helping to transform one of the fastest growing companies in history.This role will support the implementation of new programs, support the internal operations of the benefit programs, and identify & improve operational solutions to enhance employee engagement with benefit programs in the US and Canada. You will support the day to day activities associated with our biggest Benefit programs.The ideal candidate thrives in a very fast-paced, constantly changing environment. This role is based out of our Mission Bay hub in San Francisco, however will be required to partner with team members and stakeholders that are globally distributed. What You’ll Do
  • Complete day-to-day operations for US and Canada Benefit Programs: Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA/FSA, COBRA
  • Assist with quarterly and annual budget process
  • Stay informed on regulations and laws related to employee benefits and ensure that the organization follows these regulations
  • Design and implement effective employee communications, benefit guides and educational presentations
  • Manage ongoing vendor relationships including program operations and ensuring quality data transfers
  • Help identify opportunities to improve existing and build scalable processes to enhance the employee and administrative experience
  • Build process documentation on various functions and new work tasks
  • Partner with other departments, such as HR and Payroll, to ensure that employee benefits are administered accurately and efficiently
  • Triage escalated employee cases and support requests
  • Support with on-site/ virtual events (e.g. seasonal flu shot clinics, annual enrollment education webinars, etc)
Basic Qualifications
  • 1+ years of professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources, Operations, Finance, Economics, or similar
  • Prior experience supporting a Benefits function within a high-growth organization or consulting for larger high-tech companies
  • Experience managing employee healthcare and wellbeing benefit programs for US populations, international experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Google Suite (e.g., Google drive, sheets, etc.)
  • Self-starter with a drive to collaborate and problem solve
  • Highly organized, analytical, and has great follow through on tasks. Someone who has integrity and takes pride in their work quality
  • Strong communication skills, ability to simplify and clearly communicate concepts to employees
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, growing environment
  • Strong financial acumen, someone who can build and tell the story in numbers
