About The RoleAs a Partner Engineer, you will help build and grow one of Uber’s delivery products that provides consumers and businesses around the world with access to our outstanding logistics network to deliver everything from salads and groceries to iPhones and personal care items to their customers in as fast as 30 minutes!By combining their technical strategy and industry expertise, Partner Engineers empower merchant partners to derive maximum business value; more specifically, Partner Engineers work with our partners to integrate our products and services into their platforms.   • Collaborate with a broad set of cross-functional teams (operations, engineering, product and more), and external partners–from engineers to CTOs
What The Candidate Will Do
  • Enable partners across technologies and solutions
  • Defining and completing merchant integration strategy at a mega-region level
  • Interacting with partner’s technical and non-technical collaborators to understand how they can derive efficient business value through integrations
  • Work multi-functionally (sales, engineering, product, and operational teams) to influence product strategy, accelerate product adoption, and deliver product excellence
  • Provide technical support, integration strategy recommendations, and standard process guidance to clients and partners
  • Improve partner’s developer experience (crafting guides, providing mentorship/support, etc.) based upon implementation patterns, product improvements, and partner feedback
Basic Qualifications
  • Experience working in client/partner-facing roles and being responsible for the technical relationship
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of conveying sophisticated technical concepts to all types and levels of audiences
  • Writing and maintaining user documentation, such as API specification docs
  • Experience with proactively influencing product direction and strategy
  • 2-5 years of extensive experience with debugging, supporting and building on APIs, and intermediate SQL skills
  • Experience with software development programming languages or working as a Software Engineer
  • Data-analytics skills (e.g. SQL)
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or prior working experience
