About The RoleThe Global Ad Operations team’s core responsibility is to support the sales team and help it operate efficiently and optimally. As the Global Strategy Lead, you will be a strategic thought partner to the Global Head of Sales and other sales leadership to design strategies and build recommendations based on a data-driven approach. You will play a critical role in sales dashboards that provide concrete insights into seller productivity, strategic recommendations into sales team resourcing and segmentation and ensuring the Global Sales organization has the appropriate operational cadence on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. You will work with the Global Head of Ad Sales Operations on sales team communications to ensure information is shared timely. You will support sales with strategic planning, product packaging and bundling and ensure processes around the deal desk are implemented and followed. In addition, you will ensure dashboards and seller leaderboards are effective. You will work on seller performance metrics definition and guide the tracking. Ensuring adoption with salesforce Media cloud sales enablement for accurate tracking and reporting of sales performance globally.
What You'll Do
- Be a strategic thought partner to Global Head of Ad Sales and Global Head of Ad Operations
- Partner closely with sales leadership to design strategies and build recommendations based on a data-driven approach. You’ll work with a variety of cross-functional and cross-regional partners to build alignment and generate results
- Align our sales goals to our business goals through partnership with our operations and territory leadership
- Lead designated workstreams from beginning to end, including defining landmarks, timelines, and key results.
- Communicate findings and insights to diverse audiences -- from senior leaders to new hires
- Design and implement projects to improve our sales efficacy, lead generation accuracy, sales compensation, segmentation, and more
- Ensure critical metrics are met, and recommendations are made to enhance performance as needed.
- Create foundational processes and standard methodologies within the ad sales space by working with various ad tech platforms
- Work with Product and Engineering to identify changes to internal Ad systems / tools that reduce the occurrence and impact of bottlenecks affecting tracking and improve the efficiency and quality of ad revenue reporting
- Providing high-level POVs on industry trends and impact to Uber Advertising campaigns.
- Participate in cross-functional team decisions and projects to enhance overarching process, workflow, and growth of Uber Advertising.
- Business administration degree or equivalent hands-on experience in strategy, finance or ad sales ops working with sales reps
- Minimum of 7 years in Sales strategy, Strategy, Consulting, Strategic Planning or Sales Operations
- Experience setting up and supervising adherence to tracking requirements
- Proven experience in creative problem-solving techniques
- MS Excel and Salesforce proficiency
- Familiarity with Salesforce.com or other CRM systems
- 8+ years' experience in an ad sales organization or a company which has a division passionate about advertising or working with the marketing team at a large advertiser from the finance side
- Experience synthesizing information quickly, distilling key takeaways, and presenting insights to senior leadership
- Effective, clear, and concise interpersonal skills, verbal and written. Experience presenting to executives and cross-functional teams- technical and non technical alike
- Understanding of publisher monetization technologies for display, video, and audio - including GAM, header bidding, programmatic operations, affiliate marketing, and Digital Media
- Experience working with data management platforms (ex. Krux, Cxense, etc) and analytics tools (ex. Google Analytics, ComScore, etc)
- Experience creating dashboards and aggregating data from multiple sources in Tableau
- Ability to generate templates and forms that enable sales reps to perform tasks in an efficient manner
- Data driven thinking and excellent quantitative skills
- Analytical, data-driven mindset with proven experience with data modelin
- SQL, Python or R experience and proficiency using Tableau.
- Experience working with large sets of structured and unstructured data and synthesizing into business insights (e.g., using SQL, Excel, Salesforce)
