About The RoleUber's mission is to help people go anywhere and get anything, and our New Verticals team (think Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and others) is a crucial part of that mission. As a Strategic Operations Manager on the US New Verticals Strategy team, you will help us achieve our strategic goals by developing reports and tools to expose analytical insights, work cross-functionally to drive performance, as well as own some of our most challenging strategic projects/initiatives (from idea to strategy to execution).
What You'll Do
- Analyze Data - Identify trends and build meaningful recommendations.
- Build Reports - To help the business make better, faster decisions and identify opportunities.
- Generate Insights - Based on the analysis, research, customer needs, feedback, and comments from our teams.
- Observe and Reflect - As a critical problem solver, observe and understand current operations, processes, and trends. Ask the right questions, and call out the risks and opportunities.
- Lead Projects - Lead & execute meaningful projects that drive the business forward.
- Work Cross-Functionally - across Sales, SalesOps, Product, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Legal.
- 1+ years of professional work experience
- Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets
- Analytical - You love SQL and consider yourself to be an expert in Excel/Google Sheets.
- Problem Solver - Experience problem solving and proposing unique solutions to complex issues.
- Communication - Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting data & insights to a diverse audience.
- Team Player - Collaborates and communicates effectively with stakeholders in a constantly evolving, rapid growth environment with tight deadlines.
- Motivated - Self-motivated, solutions-orientated, with a bias for action.
- Ambiguity - Comfortable with ambiguity and competing timelines.
- Organized - Strong organization and time management skills.
- Business Savvy - Basic financial proficiency; comfortable understanding P&Ls.
- High Growth Experience - Spent time working at a high growth technology company. Marketplace experience is even better.
- Passion - Passionate about mobility, delivery, and the intersection between the physical and the digital world.
