About The RoleOur global advertisers rely on our data to drive future investment decisions on the Uber Advertising platform. In this role as a Data Solution Analyst within our Data Solutions and Capabilities (DS&C) team, you will build and own source of truth (SoT) data pipelines and data warehouse tables through ETLs to make advertising data accessible, reliable, and scalable. Your work will enable our operations, data science, applied science teams, as well as our advertiser clients, via the data warehousing, and self-service data products (dashboard and automations). You will define how we integrate data across different ads surfaces, and drive data quality and trustworthiness. You will work cross functionally with Product, Engineering and Data / Applied Science teams. What You’ll Do
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data / applied scientists to understand Uber Advertising’s data generation process from the backend
  • Develop and own data architecture, pipelines, and SoT analytics tables to high quality standards.
  • Design framework to monitor, maintain, optimize, and update ETL jobs and API data integrations from 1st and 3rd parties
  • Work as the owner and single point of contact in DSC to provide dedicated support to our Measurement Operations team to troubleshoot data SoT issues; and build process/mechanism to address data accuracy issues
  • Build and own roadmap to collaborate with Measurement Operations team to develop end-to-end data solutions and products.
  • Build internal- and external-facing dashboards to support analysis on campaign performance and development of insights to improve performance
  • Build and implement scripts in Python to automate reporting / business processes in a scalable manner, to support business intelligence needs
  • Program manage our external contractors to ensure high quality project implementation
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years work experience in business intelligence, analytics or data science at a data-driven, tech savvy company
  • Sophisticated level of SQL and ETL skills; experience in optimizing complex SQL queries and ETL jobs
  • Demonstrated ability in data engineering, data pipeline development and Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark)
  • Demonstrated ability with dashboarding tool (Looker, Tableau)
  • Previous experience with Python
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Applied Sciences, or related field
  • Deep understanding of Google Ad Manager and Criteo
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $120,000 per year - $133,500 per year.For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $133,000 per year - $148,000 per year.For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $133,000 per year - $148,000 per year.For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp.
