About The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analytics Lead to join our Business Development Strategy & Planning team. In this role, you will be a key player in supporting our BD leadership team and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders from Data Science, Global Scales Solution (GSS), IT Biz App, Operations, and Finance. The primary mission of our team is to tackle critical strategic topics, providing valuable insights and analytics to review business performance and facilitate informed decision-making.As a Data Analytics Lead, you will have the exciting opportunity to lead a team of data analysts, take ownership of business performance metrics, build and maintain data infrastructure, and generate impactful business reports for our leadership team! Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with the Finance and Data Science teams to conduct in-depth business analyses, with a specific focus on understanding the success and contribution of key partnerships. What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage a team of data analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and encouraging a culture of excellence.
• Own the business performance metrics and ensure accurate and timely reporting to drive data-informed decision-making processes.
• Develop and maintain robust data infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, reliability, and accessibility across the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance and Data Science, to conduct comprehensive business analysis and identify areas for improvement and growth.
• Translate sophisticated data into clear and practical insights, delivering impactful business reports and presentations to the leadership team.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics, using new technologies and methodologies to drive continuous improvement within the team.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related subject area.
• Proven experience in data analytics (+5 years with an advanced degree, or +8 years without one), preferably in a managerial role, with a track record of delivering insights that drive business growth and performance.
• Strong technical skills in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization, using SQL
• Excellent communication and partner management skills, with the ability to effectively present complex data and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficient in project management, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
• Understanding of basic statistics concepts (distribution, confidence intervals, statistical significance, regression model, etc)
• Prior experience working in a technology-driven or fast-paced environment is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using common open source tools – such as Python or R – to work efficiently at scale.
• Data Science experience or collaborating with a DS team

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $158,000 per year - $175,500 per year.For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $158,000 per year - $175,500 per year.For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp.
