We are looking for a Bilingual Claims Specialist to join our Claims team in Toronto, Ontario. What you will do
Provide exceptional customer service to Turo Hosts and Guests
Investigate and process auto claims filed by Hosts and Guests
Assist Turo members in the self-resolution process
Coordinate claims processing with Turo’s third-party administrator
Collect any amounts due from Guests
Maintain accurate and complete claim documentation
Contribute to continuous improvement of claims handling processes
Support Turo’s goal of being a leader in customer service and cost management
Your profile
Must reside in Toronto, Ontario
Bilingual fluency in French and English
1+ year of auto claims handling experience preferred, ideally with a major auto insurance carrier or car rental company
Entry-level candidates with strong customer service experience and demonstrated interest in automotive are encouraged to apply
BA/BS or equivalent experience
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
Excellent follow-through and attention to detail with minimal supervision
Strong team player with a positive attitude, high energy, integrity, and strong work ethic
Commitment to responsiveness and availability
Proficiency with CRM systems, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and claims management systems
Bonus if you have
Experience balancing solutions across multiple stakeholders in a two-sided marketplace environment, including Hosts, Guests, third parties, and internal teams
For this role, the target base salary range in Toronto is $58,000-$73,000 annually. This role is also eligible for equity and the benefits described below. In general, our ranges reflect the market-based target for new hire salaries based on the level and location of the role. Within the range, individual pay is determined by objective factors assessed during the application and interview process, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We encourage you to talk with your recruiter to learn more about the total compensation and benefits available for this role.
Turo highly values having employees working in-office to foster a collaborative work environment and company culture. This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule - Turists will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
