As Senior Manager, SEO you lead our organic growth strategy across technical SEO, content, and on-page optimization. You’ll own the SEO roadmap end-to-end—driving traffic, qualified users, and revenue through scalable programs, strong cross-functional partnerships, and best-in-class measurement.

This is a leadership role: you’ll set strategy, prioritize investment, influence Product and Engineering roadmaps, and build/mentor a high-performing SEO team and agency partners.

What you will do

Set SEO strategy

  • Keep pace with the latest strategy for Turo’s visibility on LLM search through GEO.

Drive Technical SEO leadership

  • Guide Product and Engineering teams to improve crawlability, indexation, rendering, site architecture, page speed/Core Web Vitals, internationalization (hreflang), structured data, and log-file based insights.

  • Lead audits and create prioritized technical backlogs with clear business cases.

  • Ensure scalable SEO foundations for new features and site changes (templates, faceted navigation, pagination, canonicalization, parameter handling).

Develop Content & on-page SEO at scale

  • Build a scalable content program: keyword strategy, content briefs, editorial standards, refreshes, and pruning.

  • Drive template and programmatic SEO opportunities where appropriate (category pages, location pages, collections, FAQs).

  • Partner with Brand/Content/PR to ensure content aligns with brand voice while meeting SEO requirements.

Authority, trust & reputation

  • Develop and oversee a sustainable approach to authority growth (digital PR, partnerships, link reclamation, brand demand).

  • Manage risk and ensure adherence to search engine guidelines (avoid manipulative tactics).

Measurement & experimentation

Leadership & stakeholder management

  • Build the SEO team; lead and mentor SEO specialists; and manage agency/vendor relationships.

  • Manage stakeholders globally and devise resource allocation to adequately support all markets.

  • Develop regular cadence for performance reporting results to stakeholders.

  • Create documentation, SEO playbooks, and governance for teams launching new pages/features.

Your profile

  • 7+ years of SEO experience with proven leadership - ideally in a B2C marketplace or travel/ecommerce environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or quantitative field required.

  • Ability to be rooted in customer experience rather than just SEO tactics.

  • Demonstrated success scaling SEO via geo + programmatic landing pages, without sacrificing quality.

  • People management and stakeholder management experience are a must.

  • Ability to work with agencies and help them priorities and drive results.

  • Strong technical SEO: crawl/indexation, architecture, CWV, JavaScript/rendering considerations, duplication management, and migrations.

  • Strong content SEO: intent mapping, editorial strategy, optimization, and operational workflows.

  • Expertise in core tools: Google Search Console, GA4, crawling tools (Screaming Frog/Sitebulb), and competitive research platforms (Ahrefs/Semrush).
