About the team

Turo is seeking a Data Analyst to join our growing team and turbo-charge Turo’s growth in the US. This Data Analyst will have the opportunity to work within the Risk and Protection domain and collaborate with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Trust and Safety teams. The ideal person for this role possesses strong quantitative and analytics skills, is a demonstrated self-starter that operates with an ownership mindset, possess excellent communication skills, and has the ability to get up to speed quickly on different topics and areas.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex data sets to identify areas of opportunities, formulate actionable recommendations, and test these insights

  • Present analysis and recommendations to Exec leadership and work with product teams to rapidly execute and iterate based on feedback

  • Lead experimentation from designing tests to analyzing results that lead to product launch decisions

  • Partner with product, data science, and operations leadership to influence the direction of the product with the goal of improving user experience and/or profitability of the business

  • Support ad-hoc analytical projects based on Turo strategic priorities

  • Establish data specifications, build ETL pipelines, and assess the impact of new product releases and policy changes on the platform\

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in product/data analytics, data science, business intelligence, or strategy consulting; experience in consumer tech, marketplaces or e-commerce a strong plus

  • Top notch quantitative skills; strong proficiency in conducting detailed data analysis and using metrics to drive business results

  • Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases; experience with BI & visualization tools is a strong plus (i.e. DOMO, Tableau)

  • Experience transforming data into presentations that “tell the story” behind the data

  • Comfortable working with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

  • Must be intellectually curious, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to multitask

  • Must have strong communication skills and have the ability to articulate complex insights

  • Thrive working in a collaborative environment and have experience working cross-functionally

Bonus if you have

  • Experience designing and executing AB tests is a strong plus​

For this role, the target base salary range for remote locations in the US is $125,000 - $140,000 annually, and your recruiter can share more about the specific range for your location. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits. In general, our ranges reflect the minimum and maximum market-based targets for the role based on its level and location and are subject to change. Within the range, individual pay is determined by objective factors assessed during the application and interview process, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
