About the team
The Claim Advocate will work closely with hosts to quickly and efficiently handle specific tasks, required to process claims for damage submitted by hosts. The team will work in a dynamic, fast-paced, team environment structured to quickly resolve tasks in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
What you will do
Make outbound calls to hosts to gather information, inform the host of the protection plan chosen, and to advise of the cost of repairs. Answer inbound calls from hosts, understand the subject the host is contacting about, and move the file forward to completion following defined process steps.
Resolve assigned tasks on designated claims, according to established process and procedure.
Review non-complex claims for eligibility for contractual reimbursement
Monitor and compare photographs to determine whether damages are trip related.
Provide education to hosts regarding the claim process, including Turo protection plan requirements.
Document claim files via template file notes and structured tasks.
Work in team environment
Attend meetings, huddles, 1x1 and training
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Your profile
1+ year of auto claim experience or 1+ year of customer service experience
Strong proficiency in verbal and written customer service communications
Able to read and comprehend material quickly and complete assigned work efficiently and effectively
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong ability to follow process steps in an accurate and effective manner
Proficiency with technology: macOS and Google Docs
Demonstrates Turo’s values through work product and within day-to-day team
interactions.

For this role, the target base salary range in Phoenix is $48,000 ($23.08/hour). This role is also eligible for equity and benefits. In general, our ranges reflect the market-based target for new hire salaries based on the level and location of the role. Within the range, individual pay is determined by objective factors assessed during the application and interview process, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We encourage you to talk with your recruiter to learn more about the total compensation and benefits available for this role.
