About the team

We are looking for brilliant software engineers for our team. You should have a passion for consumer products and want to help us achieve our goal of bringing Turo to everyone. We ship code daily, A/B test extensively, and have a primary role in experimenting with new ideas from inception to implementation. There’s much to do, and you’ll be responsible for making some really cool stuff happen.

What You’ll Do

  • You will use the latest technologies to help us deliver a first-class Android experience.

  • You will collaborate extensively with product managers, designers, and engineers to develop product features that drive our metrics.

  • You will produce high-quality maintainable code, test, collaboratively review, and ship it.

  • You will identify areas to improve and scale our architecture and application design.

  • You will ensure proper technical design and documentation.

  • You will work efficiently in a constantly changing and growing environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are desired.

Your Profile

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience

  • You love developing Android apps and possess a real passion for the platform.

  • You have experience shipping Android apps available on Google Play.

  • You are fluent in Kotlin and have deep knowledge of the Android SDK.

  • You are well versed in Clean Architecture, MVI Solid principles, and Dependency Injection.

  • You have an understanding of reactive programming.

  • You are a strong communicator. Explaining complex technical concepts to our designers, support staff, and engineers is no problem for you.

  • You enjoy solving problems and helping others meet our goals.

Bonus if you have:

  • You have a track-record of shipping features that created an impact.

  • You have experience leading projects

    For this role, the target base salary range for remote locations in the US is $142,000-$177,000 annually, and your recruiter can share more about the specific range for your location. This role is also eligible for equity and the benefits described below. In general, our ranges reflect the minimum and maximum market-based targets for the role based on its level and location and are subject to change. Within the range, individual pay is determined by objective factors assessed during the application and interview process, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We encourage you to talk with your recruiter to learn more about the total compensation and benefits available for this role.
