We’re seeking a Geospatial Intelligence Engineer to lead the development of our internal GIS infrastructure—designing the tools, pipelines, and analytics systems that power our space and ground intelligence workflows. You will be instrumental in transforming geospatial data into operational insights that enhance space domain awareness, global monitoring, and real-time decision support.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and implement internal GIS tools and spatial analytics pipelines
Ingest, process, and fuse geospatial datasets
Develop geospatial data models, raster/vector processing utilities, and visualizations
Build spatial query, indexing, and search capabilities for geospatial intelligence retrieval
Integrate open-source and commercial geospatial tools (GDAL, QGIS, PostGIS, ArcGIS, etc.)
Perform geospatial analysis to support object tracking, change detection, and mission planning
Collaborate with CV/AI engineers, data scientists, and orbital analysts on cross-domain projects
Build APIs and tools for internal users to access, annotate, and analyze geospatial data
Prototype and deliver mission-specific geointelligence products to customers and stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in geospatial libraries (GeoPandas, Shapely, Rasterio, GDAL)
Deep knowledge of spatial data formats, projections, and transformations
Experience with GIS databases and services (PostGIS, GeoServer, ArcGIS APIs)
Familiarity with satellite remote sensing data (EO, IR, SAR), including calibration and preprocessing
Track record of building scalable geospatial workflows or spatial analysis tools
BS/MS in Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with spatiotemporal modeling and time-series GIS analysis
Familiarity with space situational awareness or defense-oriented GEOINT workflows
Experience with cloud-hosted geospatial pipelines (AWS, GEE, STAC-based architectures)
Familiarity with orbital mechanics or space domain awareness data products
Active Secret or higher-level clearance is a strong plus
