Base salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand. Salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package. Turion Space is building spacecraft for national security and in-space operations. From debris removal to space domain awareness to building a more secure space economy, we are a team focused on getting real hardware to orbit fast and scaling capability.
As we grow, we’re looking for a Government Contracts Manager to help us manage contracts and compliance as we scale programs and government work. You will work closely with our Legal, Program, Engineering, and Finance teams to ensure that contract terms are understood, risks are managed, and operations remain compliant.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable with complex regulations, and energized by supporting a fast-paced hardware and space environment. You’ll have opportunities to help shape new processes and directly support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Contracts Management & Compliance
Support contract negotiation, review, and administration in partnership with Legal and functional teams
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (FAR, DFARS, EAR, ITAR, and others)
Act as primary point of contact for pre-contract and active contract administration activities Monitor performance and compliance of active contracts and long-term agreements
Analysis & Documentation
Analyze contractual obligations and provide clear summaries and guidance to internal stakeholders
Assess contract modifications and recommend risk mitigation strategies
Coordinate flow-down of terms and conditions to key functions (Program Management, Engineering, Finance, and others)
Maintain organized and comprehensive contract files (originals, amendments, correspondence, etc.)
Business Operations Support
Support general business operations and cross-functional process improvements as needed
Contribute to the development of scalable processes to support growing contract and compliance needs
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field
3 Years of experience in contract management, contract administration, or procurement
Working knowledge of contract law, contract management principles, and best practices
Experience with federal acquisition processes and government contracting regulations (FAR, DFARS, flow-down terms, etc.)
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
The ability to obtain and maintain an active DOD Secret or Top Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in aerospace, defense, or government contracting environments
Understanding of export control regulations (EAR, ITAR)
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects without sacrificing quality
Experience working in a startup or dynamic high-growth company
Adaptable and comfortable working beyond a narrowly defined role as business needs evolve
ITAR Requirements:
This position may include access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls.
