As we scale rapidly toward multiple launches and program milestones, we’re looking for a Technical Recruiter who can help us build the high-performing, mission-driven team that will get us there. This role is full-time, on site at our Irvine, CA HQ

This isn’t a recruiting job where you push candidates through the ATS. This is hands-on, full-stack recruiting at a company where execution speed matters, ambiguity is part of the job, and you’ll be a true partner to our engineering and leadership teams.

What You'll Do

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for technical roles, primarily focused on engineering
  • Actively source top-tier, hard-to-reach talent through creative outbound strategies and network-building
  • Prepare hiring teams with structured interview plans and tools for effective, consistent candidate evaluations
  • Run debriefs and partner with hiring managers to make data-informed decisions quickly
  • Guide candidates through the process with clarity, professionalism, and a focus on an outstanding experience
  • Craft compelling offers and close candidates, including compensation and equity conversations
  • Maintain data in our ATS and help us improve our metrics and dashboards as we grow
  • Continuously iterate on our processes to improve speed, quality, and experience

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment
  • A track record of success recruiting for hard-to-fill technical roles (hardware, software, or systems)
  • Demonstrated ability to source and close candidates in competitive markets
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with hiring managers and candidates
  • A bias toward action, curiosity, and adaptability - you figure things out and get it done
  • Solid working knowledge of recruiting systems and tools (e.g., Lever, TeamTailor, Greenhouse, Ashby, or similar)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive or hardware-heavy industries
  • Familiarity with hiring DOD cleared talent
  • Prior experience building and improving recruiting processes, metrics, or other solutions to make talent acquisition more effective

Turion Space was founded with the vision of propelling humanity toward an interplanetary future. To realize this vision, we are developing cutting-edge spacecraft focused on space transport, orbital debris removal, and Space Domain Awareness (SDA) to ensure ongoing value creation. Our mission centers on advancing spacecraft for low-earth orbit (LEO) and enhancing SDA, which are essential for both current space operations and future interplanetary exploration. By prioritizing high delta-V per dollar, we aim to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness in space transportation.
