  • Manage program scope, schedules, milestones, budgets, and deliverables
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including software engineering, QA, security, compliance, and operations
  • Translate customer and contract requirements into actionable technical plans
  • Track program performance using metrics and communicate status to senior leadership and customers
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, and change requests
  • Ensure compliance with government standards (e.g., ATO, NIST 800-171, DFARS, etc.)
  • Support proposal writing, contract execution, and customer briefings as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management, software engineering, or a related technical leadership role
  • Proven track record of leading complex software programs, ideally with exposure to defense, aerospace, or dual-use technology
  • Strong understanding of software development processes (Agile/Scrum/Kanban) and lifecycle management
  • Exceptional communication and coordination skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working with government or defense customers, ideally with exposure to compliance/regulatory environments
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if not already held

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with DoD acquisition programs, SBIR/STTR efforts, or working as/with a government contractor
  • Familiarity with secure development practices and accreditation processes (ATO, RMF, etc.)
  • Background in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field
  • PMP or Agile certification is a plus

COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary: Denver, CO: $140,000 - $190,000 | Long Beach, CA: $145,000 - $200,000
