A new space race has begun. True Anomaly seeks those with the talent and ambition to build innovative technology that solves the next generation of engineering, manufacturing, and operational challenges for space security and sustainability.

OUR MISSION

The peaceful use of space is essential for continued prosperity on Earth—from communications and finance to navigation and logistics. True Anomaly builds innovative technology at the intersection of spacecraft, software, and AI to enhance the capabilities of the U.S., its allies, and commercial partners. We safeguard global security by ensuring space access and sustainability for all.

OUR VALUES

  • Be the offset. We create asymmetric advantages with creativity and ingenuity
  • What would it take? We challenge assumptions to deliver ambitious results
  • It’s the people. Our team is our competitive advantage and we are better together

YOUR MISSION

At the core of iterative mission design are the tools used to explore problem space and exercise systems to generate and make sense of the data needed to drive engineering decisions. As a mission test, modeling & dev ops software engineer at True Anomaly, you'll be building the machine to build the space security machine.

You’ll have ownership of challenging, greenfield problems and a chance to fundamentally impact the outcome of future conflict (and the future of the company).

  • Architect & implement improvements to mission test & analysis pipelines to increase velocity of engineering design iteration and drive down cycle time
  • Perform workflow analysis across the engineering team and implement streamlining solutions
  • Work independently to collaborate with a wide set of stakeholders to ensure subsystem engineers have the data needed to make design decisions
  • Construct & adapt data input structures to improve the ability to simulate different vehicle configurations and mission baselines simultaneously
  • Improve simulation capabilities to increase fidelity of software in the loop simulation
  • Implement analysis products to organize and visualize data created from analysis tools and software in the loop simulation
  • Implement automated constraint checking to rapidly flag issues across sim environments
  • Interface with other software disciplines across the company to define, architect and build interfaces to flight and ground software systems

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong debugging skills and ability to analyze and improve existing code bases
  • Ability to learn a system, gather stakeholder needs, and execute solutions independently
  • Ability to identify a need and create solutions in the absence of specific requirements
  • Very good communication skills to distill from engineers' pain points to solution architectures
  • Willingness to iterate and adapt implementation to changing needs
  • Experience applying machine learning to improve anomaly identification

COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary: $90,000 to $120,000
  • Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work Location—Successful candidates will be located near Denver, CO or Long Beach, CA. While we observe a hybrid work environment, some work must be done on site.
  • Work environment—the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.
  • Physical demands—the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.
